The Passport Photo Maker is an online tool that turns a phone photo into a passport, visa or green card photo that meets the published requirements, and it checks the result before you pay. How it works: (1) Take a photo at home against a plain wall, at eye level. Any phone works. (2) Choose the document you are applying for. The tool crops and straightens the photo to that document's exact size, evens out the background and checks size, head height, eyes and expression, and lighting against the issuing authority's published specification. Fixable issues are fixed; the rest are flagged before you pay. (3) Download a digital file for online applications, or a digital file plus a 4 x 6 in sheet you can print at any photo counter. Privacy: photos you upload are deleted from the servers within 24 hours. Files you buy are kept for one year so you can download them again.
