When your shifts move every week, you end up resetting alarms again and again. Shift Calendar Alarm puts your schedule and alarms in one place. Save the shifts you work most, like early, late, night or on-call, each with up to three alarms on the day or the evening before. Tap dates on the calendar to schedule them, and the app sets the built-in iPhone alarms for the next 60 days. When the roster changes, edit the calendar and the alarms update too. You can skip a single alarm, add a note to any day, and use Patterns to drop a repeating run of shifts onto the calendar in one go. A Home Screen widget shows today's and tomorrow's shifts.
Key features:
- Tap dates on the calendar to add shifts, with more than one shift per day
- Up to 3 alarms per Shift Type, on the day or the evening before
- Syncs the built-in iPhone alarms for the next 60 days
- Skip a single alarm without changing the shift
- Patterns: place a repeating run of shifts at once (first pattern free)
- Notes for any day, Scheduled Alarms list and Alarm Health check
- Home Screen widget with today's and tomorrow's shifts, plus a 9:30 PM reminder about the next day's shift
- Silent alarm mode, shareable calendar image, optional iCloud sync, light and dark mode
Who it's for: Nurses, airport and transport staff, security teams, factory workers and anyone whose wake-up time follows a roster instead of the day of the week.
Privacy: your data is stored mainly on your device. There are no third-party ads and no cross-app tracking, and iCloud sync is optional, so you decide whether to turn it on.
What it is not: Shift Calendar Alarm is not a team rostering, payroll or HR system. It is a personal shift calendar and alarm tool for the person who works the shifts.
Pricing: Free to download. The free version includes 3 Shift Types, 1 pattern and 8 scheduled shifts, and Premium (monthly or yearly subscription) removes those limits.
Requirements: iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Available in 9 languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
How Patterns help: many rosters are irregular overall but contain a run that repeats, such as two early shifts, two night shifts and then two days off. Save that run as a pattern, pick a start date on the calendar, and the whole run is placed at once with its alarms set, instead of tapping day by day.
Checking your alarms: after scheduling, open the Scheduled Alarms list to see which alarms will ring next, and the Alarm Health check looks for permission or sync problems. Because the app uses the alarm feature built into iOS, it requires iOS 26 or later.
