HawkOVR is a free, independent Windows companion overlay for Diablo IV players who want useful world information and configurable on-screen widgets without leaving the game. It is designed for Windows x64 and currently supports Diablo IV version 3.1. The project is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment.
The overlay brings event information into a compact desktop layer that can stay visible while playing. Players can track world events and configure widgets to match the information they care about. Helltide support includes indicators for the worm and mystery chest locations, helping players spend less time switching between separate browser tabs or maps. The interface is intended to be practical and readable during normal play rather than becoming a second full-screen application.
HawkOVR also includes optional advanced features. Behavior-tree actions can be configured for supported workflows, filtered pickup can react to user-defined item rules, and skill auto-cast can be enabled when a player deliberately chooses to use it. Actor and object display options can change how selected information is presented on screen. These features may create inputs or alter presentation, so users should review the current game rules and account policies before enabling them. Every optional behavior can be left disabled when the rules are unclear or when a player only wants informational widgets.
The application runs locally on the player's Windows computer. A small launcher downloads updates for the overlay so users can stay on the current version. The public download is provided directly from the HawkOVR website, and the current v1.0.1 archive is accompanied by a SHA-256 checksum so users can verify the file they received. There is no subscription fee and no premium tier required to use the software.
