About BandUp

BandUp is the workspace bands use to run everything that is not the music

itself.

Ask any band where the time actually goes and the answer is rarely playing. It

goes into settling one rehearsal night across forty messages. Into printing a

setlist, changing it at the venue, and watching half the band read the old one.

Into lyrics in one notes app, chords in another, both in a key the singer

abandoned months ago. Into rebuilding the same tech rider for every venue that

asks. None of that is a music problem, but it takes the hours that should have

gone to music.

BandUp puts all of it in one place the whole band shares, and keeps it in sync

without anyone remembering to re-share anything.

The repertoire is a single library holding every song the band plays, entered

once with its lyrics, chords, key and BPM. Songs carry a status, so an idea, a

song in progress and a stage-ready song look different at a glance. New

suggestions go into a pool where members vote, and the winners move into the

active list. Personal notes stay private to you, band notes are seen by

everyone, so your reminder about a tricky entry does not clutter the shared

page.

Setlists are assembled by dragging songs out of that library into the running

order, with break and finale blocks and a total time that updates as you build.

You know you have filled the slot before you leave the house, not after you get

to the venue. One tap turns the finished set into Stage Mode: lyrics and chords

full-screen at a size readable from behind a mic stand, adjustable type, and

transpose that applies either to your screen alone or to the whole band at once.

Follow mode lets any member ride along with the band leader's page in real time,

so a change called two minutes before you go on reaches every screen before the

next song rather than after it.

Away from the stage, rehearsals get scheduled with date polls. Propose a few

slots, everyone marks each one as available, unsure or unavailable, and the

winning time drops straight into the band calendar with month, week and agenda

views. Tech riders build themselves from the band data you already entered,

including the stage plot and the input list, stay current on their own, and

reach the venue as a live link or a print-ready PDF.

It is built for bands that play regularly without a manager or a road crew:

cover and event bands, wedding and function acts, original bands on the club

circuit, worship teams rotating musicians week to week, and music school

ensembles. Typically three to eight people who rehearse a few times a month and

currently run the whole operation through a group chat.

BandUp works in any modern browser on desktop, tablet and phone with nothing to

install, adds to your home screen like an app, and keeps your setlist and song

details readable on stage even without a connection. Every plan includes every

feature, because a five-piece needs the same tools as a trio. The only thing

that changes between plans is how many people are in your band.
