About PDF2Video

Plan a PDF-based video

PDF2Video currently helps users prepare and save a production brief for a video based on a PDF. The brief brings together a source document, a chosen aspect ratio, and a uniform duration per page. It records those production choices for later reference. MP4 rendering and download are planned, but neither is available in the current version.

Start with one source document

The workspace accepts one PDF up to 20 MB. A presentation deck, a product overview, or a short instructional document could serve as a source for a brief. Because the current workspace does not include page-by-page editing, the PDF should already contain the pages the user intends to work with. Any changes to page content or ordering need to happen outside this workspace before using the revised source.

Choose a frame format

Users can select 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1. These choices record whether the intended format is landscape, portrait, or square. For example, a landscape presentation could prompt a 16:9 brief, while a project intended for a vertical viewing format could use 9:16. Selecting a ratio saves a production setting; it does not produce a rendered preview of how the PDF pages will fit that frame. Users therefore cannot currently inspect the resulting framing inside a generated video.

Set one pace for the whole document

The available timing choices are 2, 4, or 6 seconds per page. One selection applies to every page in the file. This makes the timing decision explicit: a brief for a quick sequence might use 2 seconds per page, while a slower sequence might use 6 seconds. These are planning examples, not promises of reading comfort or finished-video quality.

A ten-page document set to 4 seconds per page represents a nominal forty-second sequence. That calculation explains the chosen timing; it is not a rendered output or a guarantee about a future export. If different pages require different durations, the current version cannot express that variation through individual page settings.

Save and find the brief

After logging in, users can save the PDF source and selected settings as a production brief. Task history provides a place to view saved tasks. This is useful when the immediate goal is to retain the document and its intended frame format and pacing, rather than finish video production in the same session.

Current scope

An educator could prepare a brief for a PDF lesson, or a small team could record the intended settings for a product presentation. In both cases, the saved item is a brief, not a playable video. The current release has no page-by-page editing, rendered preview, or MP4 download. Rendering and downloading remain planned features, with no release date promised here.
