MidiTake converts an MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or other audio file, or the sound of a video, to MIDI in your browser. It is a free audio to MIDI converter. You do not create an account. The file is never uploaded.
You start with a file you already have. That file can be an MP3, a WAV, a FLAC, an M4A, or another audio file. It can also be the sound of a video. MidiTake turns that sound into a MIDI file while you stay in the browser. Nothing in this flow asks you to sign up, and nothing in this flow sends the file to a server. The file is never uploaded.
When the conversion finishes, you can see every note it detected. You can check pitch. You can check timing. You can check velocity. Those three checks are how you look at the notes before you take the file. Pitch is the note. Timing is when the note happens. Velocity is how hard the note is. You review them on the page, in the browser, on the same free tool, with no account.
Then you download the MIDI file. The download is the MIDI that came from the audio, or from the sound of the video. You can optionally line that MIDI up with your song's BPM. Lining up with BPM is optional. If you want the notes placed against the tempo of the song, you can do that before you download. If you only want the detected notes as a MIDI file, you download the MIDI file. Either way, the file you started with is never uploaded, and you still do not need an account.
This is an MP3 to MIDI path when the file is an MP3. It is an audio to MIDI path when the file is WAV, FLAC, M4A, or another audio file. It is the same idea when the source is the sound of a video: the sound becomes MIDI, you see every note it detected, you check pitch, timing, and velocity, and you download the MIDI file. The result you take with you is a MIDI file.
Use it when you want a MIDI file from an audio file without leaving the browser. Use it when the audio is an MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, or another audio file. Use it when what you have is the sound of a video and you want that sound as MIDI. Use the note view to check pitch, timing, and velocity before you download. Use the optional BPM step when you want the MIDI lined up with your song's BPM. Skip that step when you do not. There is no account to open, and the file is never uploaded.
MidiTake stays on those points. It converts an MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or other audio file, or the sound of a video, to MIDI in your browser. You see every note it detected. You check pitch, timing, and velocity. You download the MIDI file, optionally lined up with your song's BPM. The file is never uploaded. Free, no account. It is a free audio to MIDI converter that runs in your browser, including MP3 to MIDI, with no upload and no account.
