## About Find Key & BPM

Find Key & BPM is a free browser tool for estimating musical key, Camelot code, and tempo from a local MP3 or WAV file. You choose a file on your device. The audio is processed in the browser and stays on the device. There is no account, no upload of the original audio, and no need to know the song title or artist. The homepage is a single-file analyzer. After you choose an MP3 or WAV, the tool shows candidate BPM, key, and Camelot values. You can listen to the audio, compare half tempo and double tempo, use tap tempo, correct a candidate, and copy BPM, key, or Camelot separately. Uncertain estimates are marked. One file at a time, up to 40 MB and 10 minutes. Shorter clips can work if they have at least a few seconds of audio. A drum loop may have a usable BPM but no musical key. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed correct analysis. Key and tempo detection can disagree with another tool, with a DAW, or with your ear. Half or double tempo is a common mismatch. The product does not claim 100 percent accuracy and does not describe itself as AI music recognition. It is local digital signal processing in the browser. If you only need tempo and do not have a file, there is a tap tempo page at findkeybpm.com/tap-tempo/. You can tap along while listening and copy the BPM. The analyzer and tap tempo are separate pages. A how-it-works guide walks through a synthetic 32-second practice clip with a known result of 120 BPM, A minor, and Camelot 8A. That clip is a teaching example, not a real-song accuracy test. Typical use is checking a track, sample, loop, or backing track before you drop it into a music project. You copy the values you trust after listening. Correction history stays in the current browser. Clearing site data removes it. An optional feedback path can send an audio identifier plus detected and corrected values, without the original file or filename. Limits are part of the product, not a footnote. Unsupported formats are not advertised. There is no batch library, no cloud account, and no mobile app listing. The public site is English. Contact is by email for product feedback and business enquiries. Find Key & BPM is a small, focused tool: local key and BPM estimates you can hear, correct, and copy.
